  • I Thought You Loved Me?

I know it's been forever again since I've posted anything to my blog!  I've been crazy busy with boudoir sessions that people are doing to give as Christmas presents.  It hasn't left me with much free time, but I wanted to share this image with you!  Today I had more editing to do, so I put Trip and Willow out in the back yard to play so that I could concentrate on my work without having to keep an eye on Trip (his potty training is coming along, but he still needs watching).  Apparently they had a great time, because when I called them in, Trip was absolutely covered in dirt.  I mean covered!  He was so bad I had to put him straight in the sink for a bath.  This image is how he looked at me afterward.  What a poor, dejected puppy!  You can just see the "how could you?" in his expression, lol.

Anyway, I'll be posting some wedding images shortly, and hopefully boudoir as well!

  • Lynette

Lynette came to me to do a boudoir session for my favorite reason, for herself!  She has a innocent, girl next door beauty plus this gorgeous waist length red hair that was a joy to shoot.

    See what I mean?

My husband and I recently tore out the carpet in our bedroom and haven't decided what to replace it with yet.  Underneath was the original wood.  To say it looks distressed would be putting it nicely, but ever since I saw it, I've been wanting to use it as a backdrop.  Very cool, yes?:

Lynette's husband is a fire fighter and she brought his uniform along.  We finished up with shots out in the garden:

  • Introducing Trip!

This absolutely adorable little guy is Trip!  And in a week and a half, I get to pick him up and bring him home!  Trip is his temporary name, so we'll see if it sticks, but isn't he a cutie pie?  I took these pictures on Tuesday when I went to visit.  If any one is interested, I think there are two puppies still available in his litter (the website is www.premierehavanese.com)

Here's a group shot that we did, six adorable bundles of puppy love:

I can't wait to bring him home and introduce him to Willow!

  • Stacie

Hey, All.  As usual, I have tons of stuff to blog about, and no time to do it!  My big project right now is redoing my boudoir space (more on that to come!).  I've been adding to my collection of boudoir bedding and couldn't wait to use these beautiful red satin sheets that I got.  Red is one of my favorite colors and satin just looks so luxurious in pictures!  They were perfect to use with this outfit that Stacie wore:

There's just something really sexy about a woman putting on stockings, isn't there?

I love how this image shows off the pretty bone structure in Stacie's face:

We finished with shots using one of Stacie's husband's golf clubs.  The original plan was to do something using his actual golf bag full of clubs, but not being a golfer myself, I didn't realize just how large a golf bag can be!  You could hardly see Stacie behind it, so we opted for using just a single club, which worked perfectly:

  • Gina and Sam's Day After Portrait Session

Last weekend I had a fantastic shoot with Gina and Sam for their Day After portrait session.  I love Day After portrait sessions because it gives us time to do all kinds of cool stuff in different locations that we never would have time for the day of the wedding.  And no, they're usually not really the day after!  Typically it's when the couple get back from the honeymoon.  For this shoot, Gina and Sam met me at our mountain property outside of Boone, NC.  There's a beautiful creek that runs along side the road there and I've always thought it would be perfect for this kind of session.

    Aren't they adorable?

After we finished up at the creek, we headed into Blowing Rock where we caused quite a stir when Gina and Sam got ice cream cones.  Here, Sam tricked Gina into closing her eyes for a kiss, then stole a bite of her cone:

A little ice cream cone serenade:

Then we headed up to the Blue Ridge Parkway to try to catch the last of the sun.  At first we had trouble finding an overlook that faced the right direction, but with a little perseverance, we got this:

Many thanks to Gina and Sam for be such troopers!  It ended up being a pretty late shoot, but they were enthusiastic the whole time, and as always, very fun to work with!
